Welcome to Llwyn Glas

Hi, and thanks for visiting the Llwyn Glas wiki - I hope you find everything you need here to plan and enjoy a great stay.

Llwyn Glas is a converted 18th-century stone farmhouse tucked away in south-eastern Snowdonia. It's accessed by a track through a ford, and has beautiful views down the Dyfi Valley. Above us we have our own woodland, whilst below are farmers' fields, grazed by sheep and cows. On site we have a dog (Archie), a cat (Binny), six chickens, two owls, too many pheasants, plus cuckoos, woodpeckers and birds of prey nesting in the woods.

The accommodation includes a main house, which sleeps 7 and an annexe that sleeps 2.  They can be rented separately or as a whole for those big family occasions. This isn't a second home or an investment property - it's my home and I live on site most of the time. I make sure that the house and annexe are never rented to different groups at the same time. If you've booked into either the house or the annexe, I'm likely to be next door - not other guests. If you've booked both properties, then you'll have the run of the whole place.

Each property has its own entrance, patio and parking. There is a outside entertaining area called the Coop (you'll realise why when you get here) where you can BBQ, eat, have a fire and generally kick back. The water is from our private spring (tested annually) and the heating comes from a woodburner in the main house, burning Llwyn Glas wood. There are electric heaters dotted about too, but we try and live as sustainably as we can. 

Both properties are newly redecorated and I've tried to furnish tastefully. That said, Llwyn Glas is an old house and has all the charm/ quirks of something built yesteryear. She is a lovely old lady (like your Grandma)... and I hope you will treat and respect her accordingly.
