Dolgellau

A lovely town, with great butchers, good pubs, delis and couple of grocery stores. The drive there and back is pretty special.

Machynlleth

The tie-dye is strong in Mach - interesting town and former capital of Wales. Good Co-op here and market (Wednesdays). 

Aberystwyth

Well worth a visit - home to the national library of Wales and boasts largest arts centre in this fair land - along with lots of students.

Barmouth

Snowdonia's most popular seaside resort, with breathtaking views and an ever-changing estuary.
